Re: [-empyre-] race, net-art, strategy

yeah Keith! that's it: art is political, life is political, everything is
political; some people believe that they do not have a political opinion but
this in itself IS a 'political opinion', a passive political opinion that is,
because when one perceives oneself as not having 'a political opinion' what one
is really doing is AGREEING WITH THE STATUS QUO, and this is certainly
political, the status quo i mean; you bet it is Ian, that's for SURE.
cheers claudia {;-)
PS: i am glad to see i am not the only one propping the agenda, ahead and

 Ian,

All art is political. Work which unconsciously or
carelessly engages with the political structures
around it is often bad and therefore boring. Perhaps
it is a mistake for you to look for work(especially
about race) that makes you feel positively or work
which less than difficult. I certainly hope that
anyone who considers themselves to be invested in
racism finds my work about race disturbing.
